How to Open

Place closed container on a table or another stable surface.
Hold container with one hand.
With other hand, pull tab up to remove lid from base.

How to Close

Place container on a table or another stable surface.
Align lid with base.
Push down on circular symbols on lid until you hear the "click" that tells you container is closed.

How to Clean

Always wash and dry product before first use.
Product is dishwasher safe.
After storing ingredients with high staining properties, make sure to immediately rinse container with cold water before putting into dishwasher.
Use a low-temperature setting on your dishwasher to save energy and protect the environment.

How to Snap Lids:

The magic behind our snapping lids is the indent on the edge of the lid, the small rib and notches that connect easily together. Stack the lids with their tabs facing the same way, and press on the circular symbols until you hear a "click" sound.

How to Close:

To close, hold the bag by the zipper side. Press firmly along the zipper design, either from one end to the other or from the ends towards the center.
Push the sides closed as you work across the zipper. Before you reach the end, press out as much air as possible, then finish closing the bag.
The teeth of the closed zipper should all be the same height. If you notice any difference in height, open the bag and close again. This will achieve optimum closure.

How to Clean:

Invert the bag completely inside out and place directly into the dishwasher.
Run your dishwasher on a normal cycle.
To clean anything trapped in the zipper, use the ECO Straw Brush or ECO Bottle Brush to get into the grooves.

How to Clean the Outer Surface of the Bag:

The bag may attract dust or dirt particles over time, as this is a natural property of silicone.
To minimize dust accumulation, store bag in a cupboard or drawer.
To clean outside of bag, wash by hand in warm, soapy water.
Rinse bag thoroughly, and allow it to air dry.

TIPS

Microwave

Always make sure to vent the bag before reheating by leaving a portion of the seal open.
Lay the bag flat on the microwave plate for reheating.
Only reheat solid foods, as liquids may escape.
Always reheat on low power to prevent the food from drying out.
Make sure the silicone bag is 2 in./5cm away from the sides and top of the microwave walls.
Always use oven mitts while handling the silicone bags to avoid burns.
When opening, always open away from you to allow excess steam to release.

Sous Vide

For best results, squeeze out excess air and close securely before cooking. This will prevent any water from entering the bag.
Choose a pot small enough so that bag fits snugly and cannot float during cooking process.

For Drying:

After washing, place bag upside down and inside out on drying rack to air dry.
Do not wipe the inside of the bag with any kind of towel, as silicone attracts small dust and fiber particles.

For tougher stains or odors, try these cleaning tips:
Homemade Cleaning Solution: equal parts distilled white vinegar, baking soda, and lemon juice

Turn bag inside out and wash lightly beforehand with a non-abrasive sponge and homemade cleaning solution.
Fill sink or Thatsa® Bowl with hot soapy water.
Submerge bag and soak 1-2 minutes.
For tougher stains or odors, soak for 15 minutes.
Wipe down and rinse bag with hot water again.
Allow bag to air dry

Always place container at least 2 in./5 cm away from the inside walls (including the door) of your microwave oven.
To achieve best reheating results, reduce microwave power to 70%.
When reheating for more than 2 minutes in the microwave (MAX 650W), stop and stir to ensure even reheating, then reheat in 1 min periods if needed. Be sure to replace the cover after stirring food during reheating.
If food is overcooked during reheating, it can reach temperatures in excess of 248°F/120°C, which can cause damage to the container. Take particular care with small quantities of food, or foods with high fat or sugar content such as gravy, sugar syrups, bacon, and meat on the bone. Check small amounts of high-risk foods every 30 seconds after the first minute of cooking.
After reheating, remove the product from the microwave and let it rest on the worktop for a few minutes to allow the temperature to distribute evenly.
